Learn more about aeric

Aeric has always been a community builder. Even in his high school years, he could be found teaching a group of students in school or church, befriending the students on the daily bus rides and around the weekly cinnamon rolls at the corner cafe.

After high school, he moved from Southern Oregon to Salem to attend Corban College graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics. He led as a Program Director at a camp and retreat center at the base of Mt. Adams, fostering an environment for communities to grow among youths and adults alike. He moved to the Portland area to attend grad school and entered into the mechanical trade to pay his way.

As an HVAC service technician, he was able to meet thousands of members of the community in their homes in times of need, meeting a family in tears because their furnace had failed. He realized he was more than the guy with the tools; he was a part of the community that could help and bring hope.

Aeric naturally pulls friends and neighbors together to think through ideas, whether it’s with his work at his church and conversation groups like West Linn Great Conversation (a group he put together at the West Linn Library to dialogue about the Great Books), or just pondering the Good, the Beautiful, and the True around a fire, or while tasting through a Complete Wine or Beer Course book.

Professionally, he leads as an account manager in the construction industry, engaging with the many sectors of the Oregon economy: manufacturing, healthcare, commercial, and multi-family buildings, upgrading aged infrastructure and reducing operating and energy costs.

Aeric served as a Library Board member at the city and county level and currently serves on the Clackamas County Economic Development Commission and the Clackamas Workforce Partnership Board.

He was disheartened by Oregon’s governmental response to the pandemic as it left the community frayed and broken. He is standing up to remedy its deficiency and emphasize service and leadership where only fumbling and mismanagement has occurred.

Aeric is ready to serve Oregon in the capacity he has comfortably performed in his entire adult life: building community and serving people. That is why he is running for office.

Aeric and his wife, Leslie, live in West Linn with their four, fun, energetic boys.
